Sefarad is a scientific journal published by CSIC and edited by the Institute of Languages and Cultures of the Mediterranean and Near East at CCHS , that publishes original articles and book reviews on Philology and Textual criticism of the Hebrew Bible (and its various translations, transcriptions and Commentaries ); Philology and Linguistics of the Hebrew and Aramaic Languages; History and Culture of the Jews in Spain; and Language, Literature and the Cultural Creativity of the Sephardim.
Founded in 1941 as a journal of Hebrew and Judaic Studies by Francisco Cantera Burgos (Madrid) and José María Millás Vallicrosa (Barcelona), it has a printed edition and began to be available online in 2007 in PDF files. Contents of previous issues are also available in that format.
Sefarad is indexed in Web of Science : Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI) and Current Contents - Arts & Humanities; SCOPUS , CWTS Leiden Ranking (Journal indicators), ERIH Plus , REDIB , DOAJ and other national and international databases. It is indexed in Latindex Catalog 2.0 and has obtained the FECYT Seal of Quality.
